Problems with the WP-DB-Manager Plugin!

    After I installed the WP-dbManager Plugin (http://www.lesterchan.net/portfolio/programming.php) I’m not able to install other plugins anymore.

    Error message:

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    I tried to solve the problem on the developers forums, no success until now.

    The installation process required to put a .htaccess into db-backup folder and a chmod permission setting of it to 777 which didn’t work! So, I didn’t change any permissions but the plugin works!

    I also removed the db-Plugin to see what happens then, but even then I am not able to activate any other plugins BUT THE dbmanager again!

    I’m totally lost. Any ideas?
