Hi Papin,
My update notice just said that my child theme was automatically updated(!), but I confirmed that actually Genesis, the parent theme, did just have an update.
Certainly not a big problem, but it might be confusing or slightly disturbing to some users.
Cheers, Dave
@flamenco that does sound like it could cause confusion. I’ll have a look at it, thanks!
Hi Papin,
On another subject, I am seeing this in the Update Log on a couple sites:
Warning: strtotime() expects parameter 2 to be int, string given in
/wp-content/plugins/companion-auto-update/cau_functions.php on line 781
@flamenco yes, I’m aware of this issue and I’ve patched these errors for the next release. In the meantime they shouldn’t cause any real issues as they are just warnings.
I have a site with 17 plugins and 3 themes. Been using the CAU plugin for quite some time. All software components have been set to “auto update.” However, under the “Update method” column, 10 plugins show as “Manual”, one shows as “Automatic,” the three themes have a hyphen, and the rest are blank.
I just updated this site to WP 5.5 before looking at this log.
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
Just installed CAU in a new site. Receiving the following in the “Update log” screen:
Warning: strtotime() expects parameter 2 to be integer, string given in /home/margar57/public_html/wp-content/plugins/companion-auto-update/cau_functions.php on line 781
Site is running WP v5.5.
@rvconnelly Hi,
Yes themes still show a hyphen for now, the next update will fix this. We’ll look into why some are shown as manual when they were not.
Regarding the errors, these are fixed in the next update. They won’t cause any real problems in the meantime 🙂
