# Problems with Stylesheet changes

 * I am having serious problems with changing my template in the stylesheet. I have
   checked my permissions in the FTP and they are good but when I go into the “editor”
   I see the following message:
 * “You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. See the
   Codex for more information.”
 * I have never experienced this problem before and I am not a tech-expert. Anyone
   who can help me??

 * Are you editing the theme’s style.css file, or did you create a child theme first?
 * What permissions do you see on the folder/file? Normal permissions is 755 for
   folders and 644 for files.
