In the new version 3.8.1, the chain ‘This forum contains %1$s and %2$s, and was last updated by %3$s %4$s.’,’, located in file includes/functions refers to the bbpress text_domain handle, while this sentence does not exists in bbPress 2.6.4
It’s not the only one, please double check when using external resources.
    Thanks

I’ll change these in the next release, they are 2.5.x texts.

    Thanks a lot.
Nevertheless, these chains are also included into your own .pot file. IMHO, it should be better to change the text_domain handle.

    always a tricky one.

In a purist sense, then yes, I’d agree.

But my plugin is a subsidiary to bbpress and uses their wording (it’s just the wording has changed from 2.5 to 2.6), and I plan to update the wording to the 2.6 version.

I can then either put it in my text_domain, and users will find the wording not translated in almost all cases, or give it bbptress’s text_domain, when it is translated in the myriad of languages that bbpress is translated into.

Seems a bit harsh for users of my plugin to loose translations due to a purist view, so I’ll put it back to bbpress text_domain.

But thanks for pointing it out – it really does help as I simply don’t have the time to spot all the changes between 2.5 and 2.6 🙂
