• Hello,

I am in the process of creating a website for a local environmental group using wordpress 2.6 . The theme I am using is Lime Slice by AOE Media GmbH. It is one of the standaard themes. I have edited the sidebar to remove the meta and blogroll sections, because mine will not be a blog website and we would like to minimize that sort of info. I understand that changing that sort of thing intails a certain amount of risk, but when I did so and viewed the page on IE 7, the only repercussion was the shifting of the footer. This is minor to me. However, now, when I open the page in Firefox or Opera, the background is no longer white. How can I remedy this? I really don’t want the meta and blogroll catagories in my sidebar!

Please help. I am pretty new to wordpress, but would love any suggestions you guys may have.

    Thanks a lot,

    Mark Kelsey

    P.S. The website is http://www.bcws.ca/mark

Thank you, thisisedie, for your insightful and illuminating feedback.
I was referring to the risk that would accompany someone unfamiliar with code (myself) attempting to fool around with the code of the theme. Does that anwser your question?

I look forward to your suggestions.

It looks okay on Mac Firefox. I didn’t find any code errors. Try refreshing your browser and emptying the browser cache after edits to make sure that the current version of the page is shown.
