  • I’m using the Bluebox theme on WP 2.5.1. All is good except the search box. It puts the input box on one line and the Search button on the next which causes widget problems. I opened up searchform.php and changed “Search” to “Go” as the button value but that doesn’t change it. On the site after multiple refreshes on several computers, it still says “Search.” I tried giving the search box a width, nothing. Has the format of the search form moved out of the template area in 2.5.1 and if so, where can I find it to fix it?

Why are you still running 2.5.1? Upgrade to 2.6.2 already.

Version 2.6.2 WILL use the searchform.php file if it exists in the template.

Because I just upgraded to 2.5.1 and there was drama. Didn’t really want to have to go through the whole thing again this soon. I handcoded the search box into a block, changed the php call to the actual url, stripped out the value and it works fine.

Can you share how you hard coded that promoscape. I am having the same issue…
