  • I seem to be having two problems right now.
    1. The registration has many bugs. Emails with registration links aren’t sent to some Email-providers, sometimes the site will say that the username is already in use when it is in fact not. How can I fix that? Is there a way to edit the site that shows the login window? Where can I make changes to the outgoing registration emails?
    2. When editing the user profile, the button with “edit profile” will be orange which indicates a warning. I thought the program wants users to fill out the entire profile (which I actually don’t want obligated) but even if everything is filled out, the warning continues and the user is not able to view other members or use the search function until this error is resolved. Which I don’t know how to do.
    Can someone help me with this? Is there a setting to make certain point in the Profil mandatory and others not?

    Hi,

    1. Rencontre use the WordPress Registration system. If that does not work, check your WordPress installation.
    2. “Edit My Profile” button is orange if 1/ Your “attention-catcher” has less than 4 characters – 2/ Your “Ad” has less than 30 characters. Apart from the color of the button, there is no restriction (search …).

    the user is not able to view other members

    Check setting in Rencontre/members (sex…) and other, something is wrong.

    First: Thank you for your quick reply and good support

    1: it sends Emails, but just to certain providers (gmail works, freenet or gmx for example not) is there a way to make changes to that? Also is there a way to edit the email? i would want it to say that by reistrating they accept the terms and conditions of the website

    2: thanks that helped, the ‘not functioning’ of finding other members was actually due to an setting not allowing free members to use the search function. But that leads me to the next question, is there a way to manually upgrade someone from a free user to an paid user? i want to test some functions and dont want to pay the paypal fee every time. Plus i would need to upgrade users manually if the chosse to pay with a dircet transfer.

    1. You can use a plugin for that. Check here.
    2. You can manually upgrade a user to another paid category in Rencontre > Payment > Users.
