  • I’m having trouble with my script making it so that when a picture is posted, it automatically shifts to the right side of the page with the text wrapping around it.

    Can someone tell me where to look and what to change?

    I have to disagree; sorry, jwurster. That’s not a good thread.
    I’d recommend this tutorial: http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/graphicalcss/align/index.html

    thnx

    Err, it’s not working.

    Anybody wanna volunteer to help a brother out my changing my script?

    What is not working? I can see an image aligned right in the last post.

    No, check my other blog juiceenewsdaily.com (there’s no pictures on there)

    Can you help moshu?

    There is no picture and there is no picture code in it.

    Ok, here’s the image script from my site. I would like all images to move right with wrap-aroudn text. Can you help?

    /* Begin Images */
    p img {
    padding: 0;
    max-width: 100%;
    }

    /* Using ‘class=”alignright”‘ on an image will (who would’ve
    thought?!) align the image to the right. And using ‘class=”centered’,
    will of course center the image. This is much better than using
    align=”center”, being much more futureproof (and valid) */

    img.centered {
    display: block;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    }

    img.alignright {
    padding: 4px;
    margin: 0 0 2px 7px;
    display: inline;
    }

    img.alignleft {
    padding: 4px;
    margin: 0 7px 2px 0;
    display: inline;
    }

    .alignright {
    float: right;
    }

    .alignleft {
    float: left
    }
    /* End Images */

    this is the css that I use:
    img.c {
    display: block;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    }
    img.r {
    float: right;
    margin-top: 2px;
    margin-left: 20px;
    margin-bottom: 5px;
    }
    img.l {
    float: left;
    margin-top: 2px;
    margin-right: 20px;
    margin-bottom: 5px;
    }

    combined with a little custom hack of IImage browser where I have added 3 radio buttons to add the c, r, or l class to images that I upload and insert. (classes c, r, and l align images center, right and left respectively).

    /* Using ‘class=”alignright”‘ on an image will (who would’ve thought?!) align the image to the right.

    Use the one you already have in your style (no need for pasting it here, it is the same in every K. clone)
    <img class="alignright" src=http://etc. />

    heyrsmith

    Is that the only code you have in place?

    Can you post your full image script here?

    moshu… entering that text gets a little old, what I’m asking is can I schange my style script so that I don’t have to manually enter class=”alignright” every time?

    Try putting in your css:

    img {
    float:right;
    }

    Be aware however that this will move every graphic to the right, so you may have to use a tighter selector: maybe “entrytext” or “post” or “content” with that img selector.

    heyrsmith

    What’s your email addy… I wanna know about this radio button you have.

    bamassippi:
    You can add a million radio buttons to IImage Browser if you want, each to add different custom code to your a href for the image you are inserting. Here’s how I did it:

    1)Added these to my style sheet Note: these can be anything your heart desires:

    img.c {
    display: block;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    }
    img.r {
    float: right;
    margin-top: 2px;
    margin-left: 20px;
    margin-bottom: 5px;
    }
    img.l {
    float: left;
    margin-top: 2px;
    margin-right: 20px;
    margin-bottom: 5px;
    }

    2) save an original copy of the file you are about to modify 😉

    3) In wp-admin > iimage-browser.php around line #176 you want to add some variables for your new css:

    change this:

    function getTheCode(imgid){
    var radio = imgid.imgselect;//array of radiobuttons
    var selectedRadio = '';
    var htmlCode = '';
    var imgtitle = '';

    to this:

    function getTheCode(imgid){
    var radio = imgid.imgselect;//array of radiobuttons
    var selectedRadio = '';
    var htmlCode = '';
    var imgtitle = '';
    var left = 'l';
    var right = 'r';
    var center = 'c';

    (you are basically adding the 3 variables at the end, again add as many as you want for each class you would like to call from your stylesheet (ar any other special code you would like to add to you “a img src” for that matter).

    4) now you want to add the radio buttons to insert the appropriate class into the “a img src” for each variable:

    around line 1039 change this:

    if (isset($meta['thumb'])) {
    // it is a thumbnail:
    $ib_filetype = 'thumb';
    $ib_imgselect_radiobuttons = array(
    'thumbfull' => array(
    'text' => 'Thumb with link to full size' ),
    'thumb' => array(
    'text' => 'Thumb only' ),
    'full' => array(
    'text' => 'Full size only' ),
    'linkthumb' => array(
    'text' => 'Link to thumb' ),
    'linkfull' => array(
    'text' => 'Link to full size' ),
    'customfull' => array(
    'text' => 'Custom code - full size' ),
    'customthumb' => array(
    'text' => 'Custom code - thumbnail' ),
    );

    to this:

    if (isset($meta['thumb'])) {
    // it is a thumbnail:
    $ib_filetype = 'thumb';
    $ib_imgselect_radiobuttons = array(
    'thumbfull' => array(
    'text' => 'Thumb with link to full size' ),
    'thumb' => array(
    'text' => 'Thumb only' ),
    'full' => array(
    'text' => 'Full size only' ),
    'full_left' => array(
    'text' => 'Include as image: aligned left' ),
    'full_right' => array(
    'text' => 'Include as image: aligned right' ),
    'full_center' => array(
    'text' => 'Include as image: aligned center' ),
    'linkthumb' => array(
    'text' => 'Link to thumb' ),
    'linkfull' => array(
    'text' => 'Link to full size' ),
    'customfull' => array(
    'text' => 'Custom code - full size' ),
    'customthumb' => array(
    'text' => 'Custom code - thumbnail' ),
    );

    (basically adding the “full_left, full_right, full_center” call. Note Iimage Browser uses 2 different pop-up windows to insert images into your posts and pages depending on the context you are in. One is for thumbnails, the other for full size images; you just modified the thumbnail one, you still have to add the same code “full_left, full_right, full_center” to the full size one as well. It is located around line #1061.

    5) Fianlly, you want to tell Iimage Browser what special code you want it to insert in the “a img src” depending on which radio button you select.

    around line #193 change this:

    switch(selectedRadio){
    case "thumbfull":
    htmlCode = "<a href=\"" + imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.file.value + "\"><img src=\""+imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.thumbprefix.value + imgid.file.value +"\" width=\""+ imgid.thumbw.value +"\" height=\""+ imgid.thumbh.value +"\" alt=\""+ imgid.imgdesc.value +"\"" + imgtitle + " /></a>";
    break;
    case "thumb":
    htmlCode = "<img src=\""+imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.thumbprefix.value + imgid.file.value +"\" width=\""+ imgid.thumbw.value +"\" height=\""+ imgid.thumbh.value +"\" alt=\""+ imgid.imgdesc.value +"\"" + imgtitle + " />";
    break;
    case "full":
    htmlCode = "<img src=\""+imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.file.value +"\" width=\""+ imgid.bigw.value +"\" height=\""+ imgid.bigh.value +"\" alt=\""+ imgid.imgdesc.value +"\"" + imgtitle + " />";
    break;
    case "linkthumb":
    htmlCode = "<a href=\"" + imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.thumbprefix.value + imgid.file.value + "\"" + imgtitle + ">"+imgid.thumbprefix.value + imgid.file.value +"</a>";
    break;
    case "linkfull":
    htmlCode = "<a href=\"" + imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.file.value + "\"" + imgtitle + ">" + imgid.file.value +"</a>";
    break;
    case "customfull":
    htmlCode = "<?php echo preg_replace($ib_settings['patterns'],$ib_settings['replacements'],addcslashes ($ib_custom_code_full, '"''));?>"
    break;
    case "customthumb":
    htmlCode = "<?php echo preg_replace($ib_settings['patterns'],$ib_settings['replacements'],addcslashes ($ib_custom_code_thumb, '"''));?>"
    break;
    default:
    htmlCode = "Error: report to mail@fredfred.net";
    break;
    }

    to this:

    switch(selectedRadio){
    case "thumbfull":
    htmlCode = "<a href=\"" + imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.file.value + "\"><img src=\""+imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.thumbprefix.value + imgid.file.value +"\" width=\""+ imgid.thumbw.value +"\" height=\""+ imgid.thumbh.value +"\" alt=\""+ imgid.imgdesc.value +"\"" + imgtitle + " /></a>";
    break;
    case "thumb":
    htmlCode = "<img src=\""+imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.thumbprefix.value + imgid.file.value +"\" width=\""+ imgid.thumbw.value +"\" height=\""+ imgid.thumbh.value +"\" alt=\""+ imgid.imgdesc.value +"\"" + imgtitle + " />";
    break;
    case "full":
    htmlCode = "<img src=\""+imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.file.value +"\" width=\""+ imgid.bigw.value +"\" height=\""+ imgid.bigh.value +"\" alt=\""+ imgid.imgdesc.value +"\"" + imgtitle + " />";
    break;
    case "full_left":
    htmlCode = "<img src=\""+imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.file.value +"\" width=\""+ imgid.bigw.value +"\" height=\""+ imgid.bigh.value +"\" alt=\""+ imgid.imgdesc.value +"\"" + imgtitle + "\" class=\""+ left +"\" />";
    break;
    case "full_right":
    htmlCode = "<img src=\""+imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.file.value +"\" width=\""+ imgid.bigw.value +"\" height=\""+ imgid.bigh.value +"\" alt=\""+ imgid.imgdesc.value +"\"" + imgtitle + "\" class=\""+ right +"\" />";
    break;
    case "full_center":
    htmlCode = "<img src=\""+imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.file.value +"\" width=\""+ imgid.bigw.value +"\" height=\""+ imgid.bigh.value +"\" alt=\""+ imgid.imgdesc.value +"\"" + imgtitle + "\" class=\""+ center +"\" />";
    break;
    case "linkthumb":
    htmlCode = "<a href=\"" + imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.thumbprefix.value + imgid.file.value + "\"" + imgtitle + ">"+imgid.thumbprefix.value + imgid.file.value +"</a>";
    break;
    case "linkfull":
    htmlCode = "<a href=\"" + imgid.abs_path.value + imgid.relpath.value + imgid.file.value + "\"" + imgtitle + ">" + imgid.file.value +"</a>";
    break;
    case "customfull":
    htmlCode = "<?php echo preg_replace($ib_settings['patterns'],$ib_settings['replacements'],addcslashes ($ib_custom_code_full, '"''));?>"
    break;
    case "customthumb":
    htmlCode = "<?php echo preg_replace($ib_settings['patterns'],$ib_settings['replacements'],addcslashes ($ib_custom_code_thumb, '"''));?>"
    break;
    default:
    htmlCode = "Error: report to mail@fredfred.net";
    break;
    }'

    again, here you are basically adding the code for “full_left, full_right and full_center” add others if you like. Knowing nothing about how to write code, I kind of had to monkey around with the path structure for each one to get it to insert the correct code, but as shown here it works for my particular styles.

    6)Save and upload the file, and hopefully it works. Now when you insert an using Iimage Browser you will have the option of inserting any code you have built in. Neat!

    Alternatively ou could also write quicktags to insert your code if you are not using Iimage Browser to manage your images. I personally like it quite a bit as it allows me to upload, delete, create sub-directories, make thumbnails, etc all from one interface.

    Hope this works for you.
