  • hi,
i want to rum to different blogs, english and hebrew on my site. for that i installed 2 different blog systems.
    one is here:

    and one is here:

now, i didn’t back up my blogs from the english version when i installed the hebrew one, and i lost all my posts. but i have everything somewhere, i can recover.
the problem is that i can log in into my hebrew admin, but no into my old english. he won’t accept my password.

what can i do to retrieve a new password?

  • now, when i look into it, in the new blog i installed, where the password is working, everything is ok.
in the old one, i get the message: session is expired. i searched in the forums for help and i read that i need to clear my cookies. i did it, and still got the “sesssion is expired” message

    what should i do?

Did you install both blogs to the same database with the same table prefix (wp-config.php)?

Can you have a look into what cookies were set when you try to login?

Do you have any plugins that are different? I’ve seen this caused by a plugin. If so, just delete the offending plugin and try logging in. You can always reinstall the plugin once you have it fixed…

    Hope this helps,

    to bob,
yes, i can only create one database in my site. so i have 2 users for the 2 blogs. the english blog is in the root directory and the hebrew directory is in its own directory.

    how can i read cookies?

    for dale,
i have no plugins installed. but maybe on the hebrew version there is a plugin already

did you make sure that the two blogs have different prefixes specified in wp-config.php?
