I am a relatively new user of wordpress, and was chugging along happily until…I ran into parenting problems.

I created a site with about 40 pages, and have about 40+ more to add. I was using about 5 as primary parent pages, and then within those five folders, subpages to divide things further.

When I’m creating a new page and I try to select a parent page from the pull down menu, about the 15th page…it stopped adding new pages to the right menu to select from.
    Is there a limit?
What have I done wrong? 🙂

    Thanks for your advice.
(using firefox on a Mac for the editing, BTW)

  • Some light shed on the problem–when I went in and added some pages to parents on the “top” of the page list, those pages did get added to the dropdown box, and were available as new parents. Pages at the bottom of the list dissapeared from the drop-down.

So, there is, apparently, a limit to the number of parents the drop down will display.

    (hope this wasn’t a RTFM thing….;)

So…now i’m stuck with the issue of how to assign parents without using the drop-down in the edit page.
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

I sorted it out! Firefox was running off the screen. waaaay off, in fact, even though I haven’t ever mirrored a monitor.
If i resize my window very small, I get the scroll bar.
Annoying, but I can live with it.
