problems with opening photos

    I have several pages, each containing photos of different subjects. In some of the pages if i click on a photo enlarge it, the page jumps back to the top. if I click on same photo a second time it enlarges just fine.
    some pages work find and some do not.
    I am really new at this and am just stumbing around having fun trying to figure it all out.

    Have you tried:
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Seventeen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    I deactivated ALL plugins with no change, i then changed the default Theme and the problem is gone.

    Thanks for the help, I am learning this but it takes time for the info to soak into this old mind.
