The transparent placeholder didn’t have some relevant metainformation and, as a result, the resulting size was just 1x1px. Your issue should be fixed too. * I’m sorry for the inconveniences this update might have caused you! This is how things work right now: 1. You define an external featured image 2. NelioEFI assigns a regular WordPress featured image to your post, which is an image whose aspect ratio is 4:3, I think. 3. The regular WordPress featured image is the one that establishes the final size of the image. It’s a transparent “placeholder”. 4. The actual external featured image (the one we set in 1) is then added, using JavaScript, to the regular WordPress feat. image using the background CSS property. 5. It’s been a complicated week; I wanted to improve the plugin and, in the end, a lot of issues appeared. Hopefully, the newest version (which is much more powerful than I originally intended) should fix them all! * Please, try installing version 1.3.2 and verify it actually works. In order to do that, go to Media » NelioEFI and click on “Regenerate EFI Attachments” right after you’ve installed it. Page loading speed is about one minute. I deactivated a plugin and activated it after that. Site is working fine now, but after making a post all thumbnails become broken. * Maybe it is better for me to use the previous version?
