    Hello,

On the latest version 3.0 there there is a new feature called Opt In.
On one web site where I have installed this plugin it comes with a screen that let you skip this feature and NOT to Opt in if you don’t want to for that feature.

I am having an issue with another web site where no screen comes on to deny joining “Opt in”, It looks like by default you are just Opted In.
I see that there is a folder in Vendors named Freemios, Is Ok to delete this?
My client wants no part of any Opt In.

    Regards,

    Hey @lechon,

Do not worry about that. That Opt-in will be available only for new installations. It will be turned off by default for all old installations. To make sure Opt-in is not enabled, you can go to your plugins list page and check 404 to 301 links. If you have opted in, you will have an option to opt-out there. If it is showing Optin, that means you have not opted in. See this.

Do not delete Freemius from vendor folder. Freemius SDK is required to add-ons feature.

    Hi Joel,
Thanks for the explanation. The reason we got confused is because we had actually deleted the plugin and re install it, and nothing changed, there was no Opt in screen even though it was a new installation.

    Thanks for the quick response.

Yea, Opt-in will be asked only for the first time installation. For others, it will be turned off. They can opt-in from the plugins page if required.
