I’m having a problem with my drop down menus in my Mystique theme. When I put the cursor on top of the main menu (in the navigation bar) the child and grandchild menus don’t display correctly if there is a video embed on the page. For example, I have a vimeo video embedded on my homepage, please take a took: http://www.bestcaliforniahikes.com. If you make the drop down menus come down, you will see that the video covers the area where the submenus should appear. This problem only happens if you use IE7, IE8 and Firefox for windows.
This is not an issue with the following browsers: Chrome for windows, Chrome for Mac, Safari, Firefox for Mac.
I don’t know if this is a problem with the browsers, the Mystique theme, or with the embedded vimeo code. Does anyone have any suggestion?
Open IE7, IE8 or Firefox for Windows
Place the cursor over the page “Maps” (in the navigation bar).
You will see how the submenus get behind the video.
Editing HTML code manually
To edit an existing HTML page, add the WMODE parameters to the HTML code.
1. Add the following parameter to the OBJECT tag: <param name=”wmode” value=”transparent”>
2. Add the following parameter to the EMBED tag: wmode=”transparent”
