  • Hi everybody,
After I set up my new WP blog everything work fine but since yesterday the pages don’t work anymore – does anybody have any suggestions? When you click on the buttons they don’t load the pages – I’ve got no fucking idea!
I also tried to set up a shoutbox in a page but I don’t know how to – want to have something like a guestbook/shoutbox!

You’re dealing with two separate problems. Have you searched for shoutbox / guestbook information? Several plugins should exist for this, and I’m sure the forums contain discussions relevant to your need.

Have you made any changes to your blog between when the pages worked, and when they stopped working? Any changes at all?

A link to your blog would also be helpful. – I tried out several settings but don’t know exactly where/what I changed – but I didn’t change the .php or .css files – just played around in the admin panel.

You’ll need to start from a known, good state. If you don’t know what you’ve changed, we won’t be able to help you undo those changes.

Deactivate all plugins, first. Then see if things work please.

The problem appears to be how your hosting is set up. is just a HTML frames page loading

    And now I get a 404 on the tobias-spillman address…

Ok, it looks like you’re moving things…

Yupp I deleted the whole blog and set it up again – now everthing works fine again – thanks anyway!

    But I still haven’t found a solution for including a shoutbox/guestbook into a page 😉

EDIT: fucking wordpress – now it doesn’t work once again – I just edited a page (added some text).

It has nothing to do with WordPress.

    This doesn’t work:

    This works just fine:

    Kafkaeqsi is correct.

    This does not work:

    But this does work:

The fault is not with WordPress, but with the frame your domain is using.

Ok – Thanks! How can I fix this problem?

Your host needs to point at your setup (that is, what is presently under, instead of the pseudo-redirect currently being handled through the frames page.

Do you mean forwarding with METATAGs?

No, hosting providers (typically) have far more at their disposal. In technical terms, they would (again, typically) modify the DNS record handling the lookup for your domain, to point it at the *correct* resource.
