Support » Plugin: AddToAny Share Buttons » Problems with j.mp shortener. Can I use bit.ly instead

  • We are getting several complaints about the shorterner service. Apparently it’s giving some folks trouble in certain twitter clients. I’m not sure I understand the problem other than links are not clickable. For example.

Maybe it’s not the problem, but I’d prefer using bit.ly for our shortening. Is there a way to select that in the Add-To-Any settings.

The example you provided wasn’t a link shared using AddToAny. AddToAny passes the link directly to twitter.com instead of to a Twitter client.

It’s not an issue with the url shortener either. j.mp is actually by the bit.ly folks; it’s just a shorter name for bit.ly.
