Support » Plugins » Problems with JetPack Plug-In since recent Update

  • Site (teacupsandturkeylegs.com) was working great until recent JetPack Update was automatically installed. Since Monday have lost Facebook and Twitter feeds, Subscribe feature, Categories feature, etc. Jetpack is still installed but does not show on Plug In page/directory, (but does show a path to JetPack) so I cannot reinstall.

Is there a way to just restore my site to a period before the JetPack update, or uninstall JetPack and then reinstall?

    Thank you

  • You’ll need to use FTP or CPanel to manually delete the jetpack folder from your site files on the server here:

    wp-content
       plugins
         jetpack - DELETE THIS FOLDER

Then you should be able to reinstall from the Dashboard and reconnect to your WordPress.COM account.

There are so many problems with jetpack updates, I’m afraid to try again. I’ve received 3 update notices in 2 days, ran the first 2, which seemed to take okay, but now there’s another. What can be going on? I’d appreciate advice.
