# Problems with image upload

 * Hi guys, I have problems with image uploads into my posts.
 * it always appears a grey image saying that there was an error.
 * I deactivated all plugins and tried again, but that does´t work either.
    wordpress
   and all plugins are updated. images are jpgs, not too big, no weird file names,
   should be all good and worked well for my previous post so I have no idea what
   else it could be.
 * Any ideas what I could try?

   writable permissions…

 * But how? Can you give me a hint where to check that and how it should look like(
   sorry, I am not really good with programming, so far only using the normal wp
   menu).
 * Anyway, can it be damaged without me doing anything?

 * Hey guys, can anyone help me to explain how to check if the media path is properly
   configured? I need some “beginners” instructions where to find it and how should
   it look like to be right. Appreciate your help so much!!!
 * I changed to a different theme and this also doesn’t work so it is not the theme,
   not the plugins, etc.

 * It shows my website name and then wp-content / upload / 2016 / 01 and then the
   name of the picture.
 * I checked on a pic that is uploaded successfully in the past and it is the same(
   but of course with 2015) I have not uploaded anything in 2016 yet. Could it be
   a problem with the year? I mean the folder 2016

 * well looks like the permissions were wrong through an update of the hosting provider.
 * this is settled now….but it didn’t solve the problem.
