hi,
you can try to use the ical placeholders in your events list form or in your single events page format under Events > Settings > Formatting > Events
Hi Gelo!
thanks for getting back to me – I have put the ical placeholders in to my single events pages through Events > Settings > Formatting > Events which is great.
What I need is for people to have access to the full live ical feed, so that they can import all the events and their calendar will automatically update if I add new events in the future – can I achieve this with the events list form placeholder?
Or do I need the .ics url for that?
The trouble I’m having is I can’t find my .ics url – whatever I try I only get blog posts!
The correct URL for a full events ics is YOURSITE/events/events.ics. Does that work for you?
Hi Caimin – thanks for your help – I got really excited that it was as simple as missing a second /events/ in the url.
Sadly – this didn’t work either! Now what?!
hmm, caimin’s suggestion /events/events.ics works for me however the /events is the page you set as your events listings page
eg. /youreventspage/events.ics
Thanks so much – so mine should be:
http://www.lympstonesailingclub.co.uk/events-admin/events.ics
but for some reason it’s not working and I get this message – “Calendar can’t read this calendar file. No events have been added to your calendar.”. Have I set it up incorrectly?
Also I need to narrow down the feed with categories – because one of the categories I need to exclude is for boat hire – there are four events per day for this, which don’t need to be shared with anybody.
help?!
it should be the events page you assigned under Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/archives > Events page
Hi guys – I finally got it working –
http://www.lympstonesailingclub.co.uk/events-admin/events.ics
– but this is just a snapshot of the current calendar – what I need is a dynamic calendar that I can integrate with outlook, google, mac etc – so that when an event is added to fullcalendar it will update to the calendars it has integrated with – please can you tell me how I do this?
