Problems with Gutentor Spacing and post(type) block

Hello having 2 very big issues with gutentor blocks.
1 is the post(type) featured posts block is automatically showing 1200×630 images instead of thumb nails. I made a change in my blog post settings and now I cant reverse it.
The other is that my blocks are automatically set to stack right on top of each other with no space. I use groups for each section of my post. It works a treat on my other website but this one will show on the page with the block right on top of the block beneath. Really looks like a mess
