• Hey Team,

until some time ago everything worked great. I have not made any plugin adjustments. The error occurs when I try to add code in a text field.

I open the text box, then click on the code icon in the toolbar. Then the Enlighter opens normally. But here I don’t have the option to confirm the code with Okay or to close the window with Cancel. I can only click on the cross at the top. Also, with mouseover over the buttons, no feedback comes.

If I insert the code normally via<pre> and work with the tags <pre class="EnlighterJSRAW" data-enlighter-language="c">, it works.

It was working normally a few weeks ago, and I haven’t changed anything on the website plugins or theme since then. Have also already disabled most of the plugins – but without success. Have also reset the Htacces to default and disabled caching.

I have prepared 3 screenshots here, which explain the procedure a little.

    1. open the code enlighter in WPBakery

    2. cant click abort or okay button

    3. debug console

would be great if someone can help me with this error.

    Hi @rikoreents ,

the EnlighterJS TinyMCE Plugin is a standalone component and cannot confirm any issues with the current release (tested in Firefox and Chromium).

Did you tried to use EnlighterJS with “Classic Editor” without any other plugins in a testing environment ? This should work fine – if not there is maybe an issue with your theme or something browser/cache related.

I’m not sure what kind of TinyMCE invocation is used by WPBakery but they maybe modified some of the internal TinyMCE hooks. Since WPBakery is a payed/commercial solution i’m unable to provide free/community support. Maybe you can open an issue with WPBakery support.

    best regards

If I use the default editor and deactivate the theme, everything works again.

I contact my theme support. Something must have been changed with an update that led to the error.

Thank you very much. I had not considered the theme at all. Thought only about plugin conflicts.
