I want to use both the Slideshow plugin from http://wordpress.org/plugins/slideshow-jquery-image-gallery/ and the Display Posts Shortcode plugin from http://wordpress.org/plugins/display-posts-shortcode/. For the most part it works, but if I use the include_excerpt on the same page I have my slideshow, the slideshow breaks. I just see !slideshow_deploy! where the slideshow should be, then the post listings as I should.
[slideshow_deploy id='870'] [display-posts category="CalendarEntry,FrontPageNews" posts_per_page="4" include_excerpt="true"]
is broken, but
[slideshow_deploy id='870'] [display-posts category="CalendarEntry,FrontPageNews" posts_per_page="4"]
Is not. I’m posting this in both forums because I have no idea which plugin is the culprit. I tried changing the order, so display posts is on top of the slideshow, but get the same result.
I could disable one or the other, but the client wants a slideshow with a listing of calendar and news items underneath it for their front page. I really like both plugins.
Cross-posted to both support forums.
