Based on the posts here I’ve read, and my experience over the last several hours of trying to troubleshoot my contact form (good thing I tested it for some reason last night), Contact Form 7 v5.1.1 and or ReCaptcha v3 is broken.

After the upgrade to v5.1.1, ReCaptcha was never visible. And when I would submit, I wouldn’t even get an error message — nothing would happen, and no email received. I tried 4 different browsers. Any fix?

As a temporary fix, I had to install Contact Form 7 – reCaptcha v2 by IQComputing and install ReCaptcha v2 on Google, which results in the older reCaptcha that requires spending a lifetime repeatedly proving to a robot that I’m not a robot. Not good for potential clients.

@kcbg9 – I’m using Contact Form 7 v5.1.1 with ReCaptcha v3 on several sites without problems.

After the upgrade to v5.1.1, ReCaptcha was never visible.

If you’ve registered correctly for reCAPTCHA v3 (by following the instructions at reCAPTCHA (v3)) & it’s working, you should now see the reCAPTCHA Privacy badge displayed at the bottom of every page on your site (not just the pages where you’ve got CF7 forms).

If the reCAPTCHA badge is not showing, this shows that reCAPTCHA v3 is not working on your site.

Using Contact Form 7 – reCaptcha v2 in addition to Contact Form 7 is a good option if you want to stick with reCaptcha v2. Once installed and configured it offers the same reCaptcha functionality you are used to in previous versions of Contact Form 7 (recommended by CF7 plugin author).
