    Hi Tobias,

I’ve created my first table after the update nad I have an issue.

Once you open this website click you will find out that there’s a problem with text and in general with column headers.

Once you click on the column, everything gets back to normal. How to fix this?

Using the opportunity I would like to ask another question. If you check the column “wartość bonusu w zł” you will see that I have numerical values as well as some text. When I add the text, this messes up sorting. Is there any way to solve this too? In some cases it’s good to have text next to numbers.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m not really sure what you mean with the first problem. I can not see that “everything gets back to normal” when I click the table. What exactly do I have to click?

As for the sorting: The problem here is the mixing of text and numbers. The sorting algorithm will then sort this as text. You could maybe look into using the approach from https://wordpress.org/support/topic/date-order-6/
You would basically have to add extra (hidden via CSS code) columns with just the numbers that are then used for sorting.

    HI,

    Thanks for help.

Check out this website on your desktop and see the column headers – there should be 4, I can see two: https://jakaoferta.pl/najlepsza-oferta-na-karte-marzec-2020/

Only after I click on the header it gets back to normal.

If you cannot see this, maybe I could contact you via e-mail? Can I find the address anywhere?

    Hi Tobias,

I found the cause – some setting in Autoptimize plugin are probably causing this. So I am martking this topic as resolved. Thank you and sorry for the trouble 😉

First and foremost try to identify what is breaking tablepress by just disabling CSS or JS or HTML or Image optimization (incl. lazyload).

Once you know that, dive in and try identify what code/ files (CSS or JS) are responsible for the broken feature and try excluding that.

If the problem is with JS, chances are you’ll find useful information on your browser’s developer console.

There’s more info in the troubleshooting tips and info on exclusions in the AO FAQ.

    hope this helps,

    Hi Piotr,

in addition, you are only using the Horizontal Scrolling feature for your tables, I have another suggestion:
Please turn off the “Use DataTables” checkbox on the “Edit” screens of all tables on the page.
Then, instead, use the scroll mode of the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/ to get horizontal scrolling back. This works more reliably, especially with such errors.

    Regards,
    Tobias
