Ok, I'm fairly new to WordPress, but I've been getting along ok so far. Now I've hit a few bumps and I'm utterly confused.

I just downloaded and installed Category Icons, by Ivan Georgiev.
After activating it in the plugins panel, the site said that I was supposed to see a tab for it in the options panel where I can tweak my image options and such. Lo and behold I can't find the Icon panel. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I have one plug-in installed already and that went on without a hitch.

    I'm running Firefox v2.0.0.2
    WordPress v2.1.1

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have it activated and when I click on OPTIONS, which is the rightmost entry in the main menu in the admin screen, in the row below I have 9 entires, the first being GENERAL and the eights being CATEGORY ICONS.

    Hope this helps.

same here. I'm getting database errors:

WordPress database error: [Table 'db.wp_ig_caticons' doesn't exist]
    SELECT icon, small_icon FROM wp_ig_caticons WHERE cat_id='10'

I note it doesn't say it supports WP 2.1 - just WP 2.0. I'm assuming that's why I can't get it working either, and why I'm looking for an alternative.

The Coffee2Code category images plugin seems to work with WP 2.1.
