Problems with blank lines between paragraphs

  • I understand that expected behaviour for any normal wordpress site is that a blank line should be inserted between paragraphs formatted with the <p> tag.

    When I use Zach 990 on my site, it doesn’t do this. If I switch to another theme I do get the expected behaviour so I’m pretty sure something’s amiss with Zach 990.

    So, is there anything I can do to get this to work, short of switching to another theme? I really like this theme and I have invested quite a lot of time customising it.

    Thanks.

    Edit style.css and delete:

    post p {
    margin:0;
    }

    Wow, Esmi, thanks so much. Worked a treat.

    Do you have any idea why that code was there – as in, what purpose it may have been serving?

    You’re a God among men, a star, a right corker and a chief. Thanks again. 🙂

    I do see similar CSS in quite a few themes but I don’t know why the original developer added it. Perhaps s/he liked the solid blocks of text?
