Problems with Autoblogged

I’m using autoblogged on my website. It works perfectly, except for when importing images. No matter where I define image size should be xx by xx it applies its own cropping sizes.

I’ve even applied a separate plugin to handle image sizes and this fails to work in conjunction too. Am I missing something?
