Problems with author's slug | WordPress.org

Hey there

I’m kinda newbie. I’m using GrandCollege theme together with Author Avatars plugin and I’m having trouble with author’s slug in my site.

I don’t know if it’s caused by authoravatars plugin or if there’s something wrong with any $curauth variable used in my theme.

All the user profile links point to /root?author_name instead of pointing to the correct /root/?author=[id]

I want my users profile link to point to their [id] and not to their name. If you enter this page:

http://www.uff.br/ppgcom/novosite/?page_id=178

you’ll see that every profile link is pointing to

http://www.uff.br/ppgcom/novosite?author_name

when they should be pointing to

http://www.uff.br/ppgcom/novosite/?author=id

just as the correct profiles are showing:

http://www.uff.br/ppgcom/novosite/?author=3

So I do not understand where the problem is. Can you help me?

The plug-in doesn’t change the URL just show what WordPress provides So I look to the theme

I use get_author_posts_url( $author_id ); to get the URL

test on the a default theme

please post what you find

Hi

I found the problem, although I don’t know what really causes it.

Apparently, plugins Author Avatars and CoAuthor Plus have some uncompatibilities. When I activate the last one, Author Avatars starts to point to wrong links.
