 * I am new to using word press and the person who set up the website initially
is unavailable. I want to change our webpage title on the Google search page,
all forums I have looked in tell me I can do this using “settings” on the admin
pages. However I do not have a settings option! I think that the person who initially
set up our website made himself the main admin but never left us with the user
name or password. Is there anyway I can either
 * 1) Change the webpage name without the “settings” option
    or 2) Make myself the
main admin without the original details, so I have access to all areas.

 * Settings can be found in WordPress dashboard and for that you need to login.
You need username and password to change website name.
    You cannot make yourself
admin until you login through username that has admin rights.

 * I have a log in and can access the dashboard but there is no option for settings
which is why I wondered if I don’t have full admin rights.

 * In your dashboard, click on user and look for role. If its administrator, you
are admin, else you need to contact the person who installed WordPress or your
   web hosting provider.
