Hi, I have read your other topic regarding this issue but found no instructions on how to solve my issue.
I am developing a website locally and need to add more custom fields (file id – if possible to be generated by a global task given by admin in a separate field **I am using custom fields plugin to insert all of my custom data for the post**, for example if admin enters the task code ACME4 than each attachament would get a code ACME4-01 and than ACME4-02 and so on as they are added).
If you could give some little help with the above it would be perfect, but anyway I am not able to display my new fields in the editor.
Followed the steps exactly and changed the wp-config and functions.php file.
You can find snapshots here: http://22.214.171.124/audiotranscription/problem/
Let me know how to get it working so it displays both in backend editor and as well as frontend.
That functionality is outside the scope of the plugin implementation. I’d suggest contracting a WordPress developer to implement dynamically named fields as I don’t plan on building that in at any time.
Further it looks as though you’ve swapped the name and label for your custom field.
ok, I understand but what can I do to get my extra fields showing?
Thanks for your time
Did you fix the issue of your name and label being backwards? The field likely isn’t showing up because the name is invalid.
Still the same problem. Updated the snapshots http://126.96.36.199/audiotranscription/problem/
That’s the legacy version of Attachments. Attachments 3.0 supports only WordPress 3.5+.
Updated to the latest version of wordpress,
got this error http://127.0.0.1/audiotranscription/transcriptions/transcription-for-ibm/
Perfect, thanks a lot. One final question and I’ll stop wasting your time.
Is there a way I can update the fields in this screen *spapshot (according to my custom ones)? now I get the standard fields when I add the media and have the others only later on the edit post page.
Customizing those fields is not yet available.
