Problems to log on /wp_admin/

I bought my domain with hostgator. I installed wordpress from there and I have received an email confirming that it has been successful (with admin and other details). But when I give the link to start manipulating the web and log on wordpress.org, the link does not work and it’s like does not exist. I’m new at this, so I apologize if is a silly question .
