Problems on servers with auto_increment_offset != 1 (1 post)

    When I install WP on my server with a mysql database set with an auto_increment_offset set to 2, it causes all kinds of problems.

    First, multisite installs fail to work. I have to go in and change values from 2 to 1 in a few table tables before things will work properly.

    Comments are also messed up. The default comment that is installed by defualt from "Mr. WordPress" also needs to be fixed by setting the comment id manually from 2 to 1.

    I've googled this and have found nothing, surprisingly? What's the proper workaround for this?
