So I have a problem with Updraft Central (Version 0.3.6) which is installed on a local WP site with MainWP plugin installed. The two “child sites” with latest version UpdraftPlus plugin have been tested and works fully.
I cannot deactivate MainWP as I have set it up with security keys to my sites. The problem is best described in pictures:

    1. The basic WP page with two sites:

    2. WHen I try to access the sites, I get a dropdown communications error box:

    3. Following the link to test other methods gives this:

    4. Clicking on “Open site configuration” gives:

Sorry if the pictorial story gives you problems but each saves 1000 words (supposedly)

Any sugestions why it does not work? If no answers I’ll try it on it’s own without other plugins.

(problem still there with Windows firewall disabled)

Ok, I created another WP install locally with NO plugins. Added a site to Updraft Central, but when trying out the dashboard, exactly the same problem. Previous post pictorial story is the same.

Ah well, might try a hosted WP site if I have the energy …..

Can you copy + paste what’s in the JavaScript console in the browser when you make the connection attempt?

Hi David, thanks for your response. OK I abandoned using the Desktopserver due to other issues and am trying out WAMP server instead. Due to setting up the completely new environment, I will close this thread and will open a new one if problems exist in the new one. Thanks again
