problems on installation and logon

    How do i resolve this error? the installation and logon are erronous. i cant get into the admin panel. i was suppose to create themes on my local computer. after clearly following all the steps and after several tries, the result is constant.
    The one below:

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at D:\Rey\xampp\xampplite\htdocs\wordpress\wp-config.php:1) in D:\Rey\xampp\xampplite\htdocs\wordpress\wp-admin\install.php on line 16

    Please help me resolve my problem.

    open your wp-config.php file and delete any line breaks before the opening <?php. Use only a text editor when doing this Microsoft WORD is a big NO NO.
