 * Hi,
    I installed wordpress on my existing host and it created a folder which
   contained my original url and added all the wordpress files into a wordpress
   folder: [http://www.interviewiq.com.au/wordpress](http://www.interviewiq.com.au/wordpress).
   I used the settings page on the dashboard to update my url to my host but then
   immediately afterwards could not get back in as the admin link was broken, or
   at least that’s what Google said. This page comes up [http://www.interviewiq.com.au/wordpress](http://www.interviewiq.com.au/wordpress)
   but does not call in the themes, style sheets etc. So I get page without formatting.
   So I think the problem lies with where the files are stored hanging off the wordpress
   folder on my host. I have tried some of the fixes here, but no luck. [http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL](http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL)
   Is it just a matter of using an ftp to take the wordpress files out of the /wordpress
   directory created on my host and up one directory? I still have my old site files
   up and don’t want to take them down until I know what I am doing. Sorry to be
   long winded….

 * So it was here:
    [http://www.interviewiq.com.au/wordpress](http://www.interviewiq.com.au/wordpress)
   and you are moving it here: [http://www.interviewiq.com.au/](http://www.interviewiq.com.au/)
   Is that right?
 * I see a 404 on the first which would be correct and the second is showing the
   type of error seen when either wp-admin or wp-includes has not been uploaded
   fully.
 * Do you have a copy of your database and the wp-content folder saved to your computer?
   If you do then the steps we could suggest can be followed more confidently.

 * Hi Thank you for responding. But I just moved the files out of the wpress directory
   on my site and the problem is now sorted. Probably did it the long winded way,
   but it looks like it has worked. Thanks again
