 * Hi,
 * At the start of the year I mapped my website (www.sianwilliams.net) to WordPress.
   com. In doing that, one of my blogs become and automatic redirect to sianwilliams.
   net. I have been designing my wesbite using the themes available in WordPress.
   com. I recently bought custom design for WordPress.com so that I could do a little
   more editing. I am not finding that I do not have that much freedom with the
   design as I cannot edit the full CSS. I have therefore made the move from WordPress.
   com to WordPress.org. In doing this I bought webhosting with Dreamhost. Everything
   installed ok but when I went to use the ‘WordPress one click’ install on Dreamhost
   I received an error messaging saying my website is already on WordPress. I am
   unsure of what to do as my website is still showing on WordPress.com and I don’t
   know how to make that stop so I can use WordPress.org on Dreamhost. Can anyone
   help me out? I am beginning to stress!
 * Thanks,
    siandwilliams

 * You need to use a temporary url to install WordPress on your own hosting if your
   domain name is still pointing to your wordpress.com site.

 * You have WordPress installed on sianwilliams.net at DreamHost 🙂 I can see it
   and if you visit your site, you get the setup screen.

 * I moved my blog from WordPress.com to my new site on WordPress.org (exciting
   stuff)
 * But after having done so – I have no access to my old website!
    and when I log
   onto wordpress.com the blog is not in my folder! The website still is on the
   web!
 * I used
    Dashboard – blogs – transfer blog (and I also imported my xml after exporting
   it)
 * Didn’t think you then have no access to the entire website
    thought it only moved
   the blog – its lost all stats, contacts, and subscribed viewers
 * Any ideas!!!

 * **[@we-love-wood](https://wordpress.org/support/users/we-love-wood/)** – please
   start a new thread – this one is outdated, already marked resolved and not the
   same issue as yours.
