problems logging in as admin after installation

Hi, I have done exactly as the directions for installation tells me and I am having problems logging in as admin. As soon as installation is complete, I enter login and password and it goes to a ‘Page cannot be found’ page. So I hit back and then click Back to Blog and it suddenly goes to http://localhost:81/~galbilov/ which is obviously another ‘Page cannot be found’ page. What’s going on? My database tables were sucessfully created as I double-checked in my cPanel. Please assist.
