Problems installing a sitepress-multilingual-cms.2.4.3 from my drive (8 posts)

    I did download some plugins on my drive and when it try to install them using the AddNew + Upload + enter my ftp info i get the following message.

    Installing Plugin from uploaded file: sitepress-multilingual-cms.2.4.3.zip

    Downloading install package from /var/www/vhosts/gmfcanada.com/subdomains/test/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/sitepress-multilingual-cms.2.4.3.zip…

    Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.

    When i install a plugin from the Search plugins , it works fine.

    What would seem to the the solution please!

    AddNew + Upload + enter my ftp info i get the following message.

    when you want to upload you need click on browse and find the file you want to upload from your computer not enter your ftp info

    Yes i did use the browser to select the files and apply on the Install Now button and then I did enter the Connection Information and i get the error.

    Downloading install package from /var/www/vhosts/gmfcanada.com/subdomains/test/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/sitepress-multilingual-cms.2.4.31.zip…

    After i select with the browser. I'm asked Connection Information, that is ok. It is the error that is don't understand. It's like it don't now where to install the files or something like that!

    Any idea's

    It could be a server configuration problem. Can you upload the plugins manually to wp-content/plugins using FTP?

    Yes! When i did install wp. I did use filezilla. So i would unzip the file and put it under wp-content/plugins. Ok that did work. A big thanks.

    So why don't it work from in the dashboard?

    My guess is that it's a problem with the server's configuration.
