  • I copied using ftp all the WP files into the /blog/ folder and run the install script…I just got a load of garbage and a random password..I havent got a clue if the installation is ok or not..how do I check…and if it is not , then do I have to delete all the tables in mysql?

  • well, going to yoursite.com/blog with a browser should show whether it was succesful or not.
    If you saw “a load of garbage” (meaning raw code?) that might be the sign of PHP not running on your host server.

    Tables. If installed successfully, the tables are there. If not installed, the tables shouldn’t be there.

    when I go into the blog folder Thats what I get…what does that mean?:

    There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file. I need this before we can get started. Need more help? We got it. You can create a wp-config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn’t work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file.
