Problems connecting Facebook page and synchronization

    Hi, I have a problem with product synchronization: products deleted from woocommerce are not deleted from the facebook catalog. Contacting facebook support they tell me to contact woocommerce.
    At the same time I tried to disconnect WooCommerce from facebook and try to reconnect it, but the procedure is not successful as it no longer makes me select the page of my business manager. Yet I am the administrator of both the business manager and the page. I reported this to Facebook and they tell me that the problem is with woocommerce integration. Can you help me?

    Hi @hostsolutionslabs,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    I understand that deleted products in WooCommerce still show in your Facebook catalog. It is possible that Facebook still has the old metadata/feed from the deleted products and has not cleared them out yet. You can do a few things:

    • Follow this link to delete/reset all products on Facebook’s side. It will require a fresh re-sync after it, but it should clear out the older product information.
    • If that does not work, you can manually delete them on Facebook’s side directly via the Business Manager.

    Make sure you have a full backup in place of your site and database before making any changes.

    You could consider using a service like Jetpack or installing a plugin like UpdraftPlus. If something goes wrong it’s nice to know that you can restore your site to the previous state.

    hi, thanks for the information but as I mentioned earlier, I can no longer connect woocommerce to the page as I had tried to disconnect and reconnect it: it no longer allows me to choose my page, despite the fact that I am the administrator of the business manager and have all powers. Facebook explained to me that it’s not their problem … Could you help me?

    Very same issue. Cannot reconnect to FB page while i’m admin on that page with full access. All after i have updated FB plugin.

    Some rookie mistake done with limited testing as usual i presume. How to get older version of plugin?

    Have deleted plugin and installed 2 previous versions. Issue is not with plugin. It’s not working even with older versions. FB seems to be blocking something to prevent selecting FB page when trying to reconnect and without that it’s not able to continue with reconnection process.

    — Then please switch your theme to Storefront
    — Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and Facebook for WooCommerce
    — Try again to reconnect you can check this article

    At this point check if the issue is still present, if not, it means there was a conflict and you can reactivate the theme and plugins gradually one by one and check again after each reactivation until you find the cause of the problem.

    Greetings @ihereira,
    I proceeded to update as you told yourself the version of the database to the latest version but I had the same problem.
    So I created a staging site on the same domain and followed your advice by disabling all plugins and installing the storefront theme. However, I still have the same problem that does not allow me to choose the page despite being the administrator of the business manager.

    Hi @hostsolutionslabs,

    Do you have logging enabled? If so please proceed to step 2. If not:

    1) Go to Marketing > Facebook > enable “Log plugin events for debugging” and then go back to the “Product Sync” (Tab) and click “Sync products”. Allow this to run for a while.

    2) Next, go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs, check the dropdown for a log labelled facebook_for_woocommerce, then copy and share it in your response.
