Problems configuring htaccess subdirectory subdomain

    @fixhotep

    I’ve looked at many htaccess posts here and none seem to solve the problem I have.

    I have a primary domain, http://www.mydomain.com, with a host. I have a second domain, http://www.myblog.com, with godaddy that I want to use for WP hosted by my host(and not WP).

    I want them to remain two completely separate websites.

    My host treats addon domains similar to subdomains in that the addon (myblog.mydomain.com)is in a subdirectory of my domain (public_html>myblog).

    I also run phpBB3 in public_html>phpBB3 and it has an .htaccess.

    So…

    I want people to be able to type http://www.myblog.com and not http://www.myblog.mydomain.com while remaining SEO-friendly and completely unrelated to http://www.mydomain.com.

    Where would my .htaccess go for WP and what do I put in it?
