 * Hi Yannik,
 * At first (and 101st) glances, it’s looking like there’s no way I can use this
plugin due to it having glaring errors and no styling between images, links and
descriptions whatever – it just looks a mess!
 * I’m using ‘table’ settings as discussed before, which is a good job as unordered
lists etc just throw all the thumbnails into a huge unsightly mess.
 * I’m trying – to get thumbnail images, and the business name, and a description,
all lined up to give the business some credibility.
 * I’m getting – a thumbnail image, then the business name appearing at the bottom
of it’s table position, and the description running along the bottom again, and
then expanding below the table position if I add enough text.
 * The LARGE description is utterly useless, as that throws up a description ABOVE
   the rest of the entry.
 * Is there really no way to get this all lined up properly and aesthetically pleasing
so that my clients would be proud to add their links?

 * You are probably just missing some tags before and after elements. When you choose
the table layout, it configures `<td>` and `</td>` tags for the active elements,
but not for all elements. If you look at the Advanced tab of Library settings,
you will see the HTML that goes around each item and can amend it as required.

 * Just tried your suggestion by removing ALL the <td> and </td> tags from ‘Image’‘
Link Name’ and ‘Description’ and it turned the whole lot into an un-ordered list
   mess as described above.
 * No change to the alignment, even the un-ordered list items still are aligned
   firmly to the table bottom.
 * I really don’t think this can be achieved by messing with <td> tags at all.

 * Just having turned OFF the ‘Tables’ feature and regenerated all the images, everything
looks the same as before with images and text locked firmly to the bottom of
what I suppose would be termed as the ‘Table Bottom’.
 * Looks to me like there’s no customisation possible when using preview images
   with Link Library’s present set-up.

 * I am sorry you feel this way about Link Library. I find it is extremely versatile,
to the point where it is definitely a bit difficult to grasp.
 * When you say that you turned off the ‘Tables’ feature, you most likely only turned
off part of what tells Link Library not to render the list using tables. A better
way to make sure that all settings are consistent is to click on one of the reset
buttons on the first tab of library settings, to reset to a list mode or a table
   mode.
 * Can you send me a diagram / drawing of the type of output you are looking to
create? or can you identify an example on this page that you like: [http://ylefebvre.ca/wordpress-plugins/link-library/](http://ylefebvre.ca/wordpress-plugins/link-library/)?
 * If so, I can tell you how to configure the plugin for this display.
 * if you have decided to move on from Link Library, please close the issue.

 * Hi Yannik,
 * The only example I can see that looks anywhere like the Link Library I’d want,
is the one on the Seattle Seahawks blog.
 * A centered picture with titles and description all padded from the top and bottom
   correctly.
 * I’d never have thought that the Seattle Seahawks would keep me coming back to
   try out Link Library!

 * All right. I reproduced the layout on this page of my site. To get the same results,
you can import the following settings file: [https://drive.google.com/open?id=1pL5w_bAEaytGWTl9tEl2x3fCke0LiVAl](https://drive.google.com/open?id=1pL5w_bAEaytGWTl9tEl2x3fCke0LiVAl).
To do so, go to the Import/Export tab of Library Settings, and import Library
Settings CSV file, towards the bottom of the tab.
 * Let me know if this works as you wanted, and please consider donating to support
   this plugin’s development.

 * Can’t make head nor tail of the CSV settings – its just imported a load of posts
and pages, and the main link library looks exactly the same as before.
 * Where’s the layout you configured on your website?

 * The test page I created to make the settings file is here: [http://ylefebvre.ca/favorite-podcasts/](http://ylefebvre.ca/favorite-podcasts/)
 * In terms of the import process, it sounds like you did not look far down enough
on the page. You used the feature to import links from pages and posts, instead
   of importing a csv file.
 * Here is where the proper section is: [https://imgur.com/a/wodUr](https://imgur.com/a/wodUr)
 * Also, I just realized that after importing the settings, you will need Common
tab of the Library Settings and check the box to see all categories.

 * Okey dokey, got it.
 * That’s looking far better at first glance – I’ll get back onto it tomorrow as
   it’s 2.30am over here!

 * Thanks Yannik, but it’s looking like Links Library is not after all looking fit
   for purpose.
 * The ‘Robothumb’ page image generator is proving to be very twitchy, just showing
some French details of non-generation in many of my listings, and I really cannot
risk using it in this form.
 * Thanks for the help you’ve given, and I’m hoping to be back when all the problems
   have been ironed out.

 * If you don’t have too many links, you can always generate the thumbnails using
another service and assign them to each links in the editor.

 * No, the whole idea of my links page is that someone enters their URL and it states
in my submission form that there is no need to add a banner or whatever – as
the plugin will automatically grab their front page.
 * I’m going to have to go back to my original option of using Links Page plugin,
which needs a lot of setting up and a further plugin to display categories, but
the thumbnails of the front pages are spot on.
