# problem with xmlrpc

 * I had this problem before when I couldn’t use Windows Live Writer to upload images.
   It was resolved when I reinstalled WordPress on my server. Now the same thing
   is happening again. When I upload a post with an image, I get this error:
 * “Error attempting to connect to weblog at:
 * [http://channelgregnet.com/xmlrpc.php](http://channelgregnet.com/xmlrpc.php)
 * The underlying connection was closed: The connection was closed unexpectedly.”
 * It works fine if you don’t upload an images. Is anyone else having the same problem?

 * I found out that the error occurred when I had the WPIDS wordpress plugin enabled.
   Once I disabled that I was able to connect with LiveWriter.
 * I’d suggest first disabling your plugins and re-enabling them one by one.
