# Problem with wp_query only on author.php

 * Hi guys,
 * I’m having some trouble with a wp_query which for some reson refuses to work 
   only on author.php. It works correctly on any other page/post.
 * Basically I’m requesting the latest post in a custom post type I’ve created. 
   The query is being done in the footer.php.
 * I’ve tried removing all the code from author.php excerpt get_footer(); with no
   result unfortunately.
