# Problem with WordPress URL

 * Hi all,
 * I’m new to WP, but have a strong background in Moveable Type 4+, coding, and 
   server management. We have WP 2.5 installed on our dedicated server. All seems
   to be running fine, except:
 * Installed WP at:
    [http://mydomain.com/main](http://mydomain.com/main)
 * I’ve tried to set the WordPress URL in Admin panel to same: [http://mydomain.com/main](http://mydomain.com/main)(
   I’ve confirmed that MySQL has the correct URL in the table.)
 * But I get errors trying to login. So, I’ve set the WP URL and MySQL back to [http://mydomain.com](http://mydomain.com)
   and everthing is fine.
 * Should I be concerned that WP is actually installed in /main, but the WP URL 
   does not reflect this?

 * Thanks for the reply. I’ve read the link previously…so I just read it again. 
   I think the problem is probably that we didn’t:
 * Copy the index.php and .htaccess files from the WordPress directory into the 
   root directory of your site (Blog address).
 * I’ll let you know. Thanks again.
