 * I have disabled “Automatically prime the page cache” but I can see that w3_pgcache_prime
   cron job is still being executed on regular basis. The configuration is 10 pages
   per interval, 360 seconds between intervals. Although it is disabled, it is scheduled
   every 5 minutes with 10 more arguments added each time. I think because it is
   scheduled but not priming the page cache because it is disabled, so each time
   previous set of pages are added to the scheduled task.
 * The number of arguments of w3_pgcache_prime cron task is growing fast and that
   makes wp-cron.php very slow when it is triggered. All of this to do nothing.

 * You can disable them using this plugin:

 * [@superpoincare](https://wordpress.org/support/users/superpoincare/) I don’t
   want to disable them and your suggestion, which I aprreciate a lot, says nothing
   about why w3tc was scheduling tasks that were disabled in its configuration.
 * Anyway, all is fine in my site now. It was mostly my fault in the configuration
   of the server-side cron job.

    Did you manage to resolve
   this at all? … we are having the same issue.

 * [@pckeys](https://wordpress.org/support/users/pckeys/) as I said, it was a wrong
   configuration in the server-side cron job I was configuring. Now I use a server-
   side cron job, just like before, but using WP-Cron Control ([https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-cron-control/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-cron-control/),
   do not confuse it with WP-Crontrol)
