  • Seems like more than one person is having problems with the uninstall:

Doesn’t look to have a resolution yet.

Well, does anyone know how to reinstall K2 after clicking that uninstall button?

The problem is now resolved. I just uploaded the default theme, went back into the WP Admin and then changed the theme to K2. It works now.

Well I created a test WordPress 2.0.4 blog, downloaded the latest K2 (190) from http://getk2.com/nightly/

Then I activated the Theme, then did an Uninstall of K2, then reactivated it with no problem.

I notice on the Uninstall that K2 deleted all the records in the wp_options table where the option_name began with k2. Maybe make sure all those records don’t exist before the ‘reinstall’.

As you can see, I didn’t have to reinstall but just reactivate the Theme after I did the uninstall.

    1. So I’d make sure your active theme is NOT K2
    2. Delete any records in the wp_options table that related k2
    3. Delete the k2 folder under wp-content/themes
    4. Download the latest k2 version and upload to your wp-content/themes folder
    5. Try to activate the k2 Theme.

Oops, see that you posted the problem as fixed, but I’ll leave the above info just in case.

Thanks for marking the thread resolved.

I will link to this from my blog (on the post at http://www.thekyle.ca/blog/2006/09/16/k2-is-back/ )
