Hi Ian,
Unfortunately, it is not possible to link to the FAQ page with a pre-filtered category. We may suggest you redirecting your users to pages with specific categories and adding a link in those pages that would redirect them to all FAQs.
By default, the FAQ page displays the list of categories and FAQs. If you are concerned with your FAQ question redirecting to a post link, then under Basic > FAQ toggle, you may put the setting to “Yes”. This will display your FAQ answer on the same page.
Let us know if these solutions work out for you. If you still have concerns, we would gladly appreciate screenshots or a link to your website to understand the issues more clearly. 🙂
Best regards,
Thanks for the reply.
I will try creaing separate pages as you suggest as a work around.
I currently have 23 categories each with 2-4 questions and answers on my Custom FAQ page so it makes the page quite long.
I already have the FAQ toggle set to YES so when I click a Category on my custom FAQ page it shows all the questions and answers for that category.
Is there a way to get all the FAQs on my Custom FAQ page to show at once ?
There also appears to be a problem setting custom Styles for the Category and Question Text Sizes. I can change one or teh other but not both. I have tried using both the Basic Custom CCS method and the Premium Styling method.
I am developing the site on a local host but can send screenshots. How do I do this?
Thanks
Ian
Hi Ian,
If you want to display all answers on page load, you need to enable the “Display All Answers” option in the “Basic” area of the FAQ settings.
I’m not sure why the Custom CSS wouldn’t apply. Could you paste here the CSS you’re trying to modify, and also what’s not working, to see if we can spot a potential conflict?
Thank you
Hi,
I have created separate pages for groups of FAQS using the include feature and this shows the incuded categories OK.
I am using the X Theme for my FAQ pages with Template = Blank-Container:Header,Footer and have entered the FAQ Shortcode text into a Raw Content element to display the FAQs. Could this be causing a conflict with your plugin stopping the style font settings working and displaying only the categories ?
I have the Display All Answers enabled in the basic settings but the FAQs do not display when I go the page.
I have used the Styling Options page in the premium plugin to set the font sizes as follows : FAQ Question = 18px, FAQ Answer = 16px, FAQ Category = 20px. But this doesnt set the text to the correct size in the page.
Thanks
Ian
Hi Ian,
As we can’t view your page to try and inspect for CSS conflicts, could you please try switching to the default WordPress theme (i.e. Twenty Sixteen) and then checking to see if the styling is correctly applied?
For the displaying of all answers, what happens? Does it show the questions, but just not the answers, or does it not even show the questions?
Thank you
