Hi @strifemit,
I see you’ve fixed most of the problems by adding custom descriptions, great!
Now, only Facebook’s cache needs to be refreshed.
This can be done via Facebook’s Sharing Debugger, where you’ll need to hit “Scrape Again” after fetching the URL. I just did this for you.
After a page is scraped again, all shared content on Facebook will be updated automatically with the last found information.
Now you’ll only have to add a social image fallback URL in the settings, and you’re good to go 🙂
Cheers!
Brilliant thank you. I have a personal page and a group. Can I use the business social url setting for the link to the group?
Hi @strifemit,
I think you’re referring to Facebook. Facebook Groups don’t act as profiles, so they shouldn’t be referred to in the metadata.
Instead, you should use profile pages. For example, use your business profile for the “Article Publisher Facebook URL”*, and use your personal profile for the “Article Author Facebook (Fallback) URL”.
If you have any more off-topic questions, it’ll be best to open a new topic, so users who are finding your questions won’t spin into the unknown 🙂
* I should update and improve the verbatim in the settings.
