Support » Plugin: WP Fastest Cache » Problem with this Plugin

  • I used WP Fastest Cache 0.8.8.9 for some weeks, but due to the following problem I decided to deactivate and delete the plugin.
My website uses the plugin PageBuilder by SiteOrigin and I have developed my own widget, which includes a few lines of PHP code and a LESS file. I noticed that the widget did not work correctly after some days. On deactivate/activate of the widget SiteOrigin compiles the LESS file and stores the CSS in folder uploads/siteorigin-widgets. After reactivation the widget works as expected, but after some hours or days the widget is broken again. A detailed analysis showed that the generated CSS file had been deleted on the server, but I did not found any code to delete a generated file in SiteOrigin. After deactivation of WP Fastest Cache I never saw the problem again.

The problem is caused by wp nonce security system. You should set a cache timeout rule as below.

I thank you very much for your immediate reply. I use wp for many years, but now I learned about wp nonce.

WP nonce has a default lifetime of one day and it is possible to modify this. For the cache you may also add cache timeout rules e.g. twice a day.

Nevertheless, on the server you need some effort and disk space to create a cache, even if you have to do it frequently. Because my site is visited only by a few users per day, I think, that this investment is not worth the result.

My original erroneous assumption was, that a cache is only updated, when the sources have been changed.

you can clear cache via the url. You can set cron-job as below.
